Dunno, a Georgian-language AI platform, has run an open survey asking which need sends people to artificial intelligence — a doctor, a psychologist, a lawyer, or everyday tasks. Health came first, at 37%. A second result also stands out: the audience that responded most actively was people over 65.
AI use in Georgia has already been measured. ACT Research’s 2025 study (online survey, 637 respondents) found that 71% of the population use AI tools; usage is highest among 18–35 year olds (94%) and higher in Tbilisi (79%) than in the regions (68%). The main purposes were information search (74%), learning (52%) and general advice (48%).
Our question is a different one. ACTR asked which tasks people perform with AI. We asked which need brings them to it — and there health came first. The two studies are compatible and complementary: one describes what people do, the other why.
A separate caveat on age. We are not claiming that older people use AI more — by ACTR’s figures younger people lead, and we do not dispute that. Our finding is narrower: older people responded far more actively to our offer. One plausible reading is that younger Georgians already have AI, while the older generation is only now looking for it.
“What do you use artificial intelligence for?” — health 37%, talking something through 22%, everyday tasks 12%, rights and documents 7%, code and technology 7%. Health and personal support together take 59% of all answers.
Pew Research’s June 2026 study (3,488 respondents) found that 34% of Americans use AI chatbots for health. The Georgian figure — 37% — matches it within the margin of error.
The campaign’s age setting was 18–50, yet the algorithm delivered 69% of the reach outside that range. Over-65s accounted for 53% of page opens and the over-55s for 81%. Of those who saw the ad, 3.5% of over-65s opened the page, against 1.5% of 35–54 year olds.
53% of the reach went outside Tbilisi: Imereti 13%, Adjara 8%, Samegrelo–Zemo Svaneti 7%, Shida Kartli 7%, Kakheti 5%, Kvemo Kartli 5%. The question reached Racha and Javakheti too.
Four of the 47 commenters wrote that they could not complete the registration. One of them apologised for it: “Forgive me, I could not get through the registration — because I did not know how.”
Across the 47 free-text comments the word “friend” appears 12 times; the words “tool” and “program” appear not once. 85% of the comments are positive.
The survey ran openly from 21 August to 1 September 2026 at dunnokit.com/gamokitkhva. No registration was required to take part. There were 343 completed answers, giving a margin of error of ±5.3% at 95% confidence. Country was determined by internet address: 336 answers from Georgia, 7 from the diaspora.
Two layers guarded against double voting: a unique browser key and a daily ceiling per address. The audience was drawn by a Georgian-language Facebook campaign (budget $68.96), so the sample is not a random sample of the population and the results describe the audience of that channel.
The age and regional figures come from the advertising dashboard and describe the advertising audience rather than the respondents themselves — the survey did not ask for age.
